Loredana Iurianello was born on 9 July 1970 in Catania, where she still lives today.
Passionate about photography, she started practicing the business in 2006 and after two years she joins the A.N.A.F. (National Association of Photographic Arts) she participating in numerous regional photography competitions and exhibitions e national team, obtaining numerous awards and recognitions.
She becomes passionate about underwater photography as a natural consequence after having obtained her first Sub patent obtained in 2014.
This brings it closer to the G.R.O. SUB CT "Researchers and Underwater Operators Group", club that boasts a prestigious palmares for what concerns the figurative arts e which allows her to get closer to the world of competition for what concerns the underwater photography.
It is by coming into contact with the sea that his curiosity and passion for each one is born organism that she meets and that she begins to capture through the photographic lens. Since 2015 you have joined the competitive activity organized by FIPSAS (Federation Italian Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities) taking part in the Championships Italians of Underwater Photography.
The following year she obtained first place in the fish category at the Artiglio trophy FIPSAS Grand Prix in Trieste. In 2016 she attended an advanced diving course for the achievement of the patent ADW.
In 2017 she gets the first place in the standings at the “Blue Dolphin International Trophy Underwater Photography ”held in Malta.
In the same year she participates in the Italian Underwater Photography Championships in Otranto obtaining a first place in the wide angle category.
In 2018 she obtained the third place at the Blue Dolphin Trophy in Gozo-Malta.
In 2019 at the Italian Championships she wins the title of Italian Champion of Underwater Photography in the compact category.
In 2021 at the Italian Championships she wins the silver medal in the category compact and she gets an absolute first place in the “Tell your sea” category. My goal is to convey the emotions I feel in photographing the world underwater.
Loredana Iurianello nasce il 9 luglio 1970 a Catania, dove vive ancora oggi.
Appassionata di fotografia, inizia a praticare l’attività nel 2006 e dopo due anni
entra a far parte dell’A.N.A.F. (Associazione Nazionale Arti Fotografiche)
partecipando a numerosi concorsi e mostre di fotografia in ambito regionale e
nazionale, ottenendo numerosi premi e riconoscimenti.
Si appassiona alla fotografia subacquea come conseguenza naturale dopo aver
ottenuto il primo brevetto Sub conseguito nel 2014.
Ciò la avvicina al G.R.O. SUB CT “Gruppo Ricercatori e Operatori Subacquei”,
circolo che vanta un prestigioso palmares per ciò che riguarda le arti figurative e
che le permette di avvicinarsi al mondo dell’agonismo per ciò che riguarda la
Fotosub.
È entrando a contatto con il mare che nasce la sua curiosità e passione per ogni
organismo che incontra e che inizia a catturare attraverso l’obiettivo fotografico.
Dal 2015 aderisce all’attività agonistica organizzata dalla FIPSAS (Federazione
Italiana Pesca Sportiva e Attività Subacquea) prendendo parte ai Campionati
Italiani di Fotografia Subacquea.
L’anno successivo ottiene il primo posto nella categoria pesce al trofeo Artiglio
Gran Premio FIPSAS a Trieste.
Nel 2016 frequenta un corso sub di avanzamento per il conseguimento del brevetto
ADW.
Nel 2017 ottiene il primo posto in classifica al Trofeo “Blue Dolphin International
Underwater Photography” svoltosi a Malta.
Nello stesso anno partecipa ai Campionati Italiani di Fotografia Subacquea a
Otranto ottenendo un primo posto nella categoria grandangolo.
Nel 2018 ottiene il terzo posto al Trofeo Blue Dolphin di Gozo-Malta.
Nel 2019 ai Campionati Italiani conquista il titolo di Campionessa Italiana di
Fotografia Subacquea nella categoria compatte.
Nel 2021 ai Campionati Italiani conquista la medaglia d’argento nella categoria
compatte e ottiene un primo posto assoluto nella categoria “Racconta il tuo mare”.
