Lorenzo Mittiga, born in Rome, Italy, in 1969, is an international award winning
nature photographer and professional videographer and Marine biologist based in
Bonaire, Netherland Antilles. Specializing inunderwater, ocean, overunder
photography, Lorenzo strives to depict the natural world, with its power and drama.
He is Aqua Lung Ocean Ambassador, Nimar Underwater Housings Ambassador and
Photographer, Omer Sub Ambassador and
Flex arms Underwater System tester and
Ambassador.
He spends countless hours in the water (or next to it) creating dramatic imagery and
artful interpretations of the magnificent ocean environment. From the crystal clarity
of the surface to the play of sunlight or artificial lights on a deep-ocean depth,
Lorenzo brings a unique insider's view to the colours, shapes and textures of the sea.
He is constantly searching for a memorable adventure, spectacular sceneries and
unique images.
After the ”television adventure” as a documentary filmmaker and underwater
anchorman in the ‘90s, he decided to devote himself entirely to photography
opening up to new career paths and creative visions.
Lorenzo's stature as photographer was indisputably confirmed receiving the award
of "Winner of Natural World Category" in the 12th Smithsonian International Photo
Contest in 2014 for his image "An Unexpected Underwater Encounter With a Green
Iguana", in addition his work has been also awarded from National Geographic and
published on Times UK and The Telegraph UK.
His work has widely received awards, prizes and honorable mentions in many
occasions from National Geographic, Smithsonian Mag, OASIS International Photo
Contest, HIPAE, Underwater World ShootOut, The Big Picture, DPG, Underwater
Photography.Com and many others, and seen or featured on magazines and
newspapers as Scuba Diving Mag, La Repubblica, Uk Divers, Il Subacqueo, Mondo
Sommerso, Tierwelt, Sports Life, Bokeh, Masterclass Photo Mag, Windsurf Mag,
Windnews, World of Windsurf Mag, Il Messaggero, The Mirror UK, Barcroft TV, Chiiz,

UWP: HAKAN BASAR

Hakan Basar was born in Germany ,1977 and living in Istanbul,Turkey since 1983.   He is working about Musical Instruments industry since 1999 and owner of his company.

He started to diving in 2010 and got a camera after  short time.

He dives at many dive sites around the world and worked on workshop tours .

Hakan has been participating in national and international competitions since 2015 and has received more than 30 awards .

He has been dived at many dive sites around the world especially macro places and worked some  workshop tours at Lembeh, Anilao , Romblon , Ambon ,Raja ampat, Dumaguete and Manado .

He has been participating in national and international competitions since 2015 and has won more than 30 awards. The most important achievement is winning the Turkey  UW photo championship in 2017 and got 3rd place in the 2019 CMAS World UW Photo Championship / Tenerife as a Turkish team.

The first camera it owned was the Nikon d90 , used between 2010 and 2013 .

He is still using Nikon D800E full frame camera since 2013 with nauticam housing and Ikelite DS161 dual strobes for wide angle , Inon Z240 for macro shots .

He loves creative photography technics and often use these technics on his works .  By the way , he is working on open source camera software for improvement the picture control and developed his own strobe flash with personalized features.
