Underwater Photographer presso Mokarran Diving

Diving instructor and wildlife passionate it’s by photography that Vincent will return to his first children loves; sea ​​and image.

The sea, he discovered it early aboard his father's boat during sailing between the islands of Brittany.
The love of the image, he owes it to his grandfather, a talented drawer and later to his stepfather, passionate amateur photographer.
Vincent has concentrated all these elements into one, the underwater wildlife photography in which he specialize.

Today published in several editions of renowned, his photos have also used for the 2015 BBC Wildlife calendar and the coveted Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Edition of the watch manufacturer.
In 2015 several of his photographs were used by the Breitling company, to present their latest diving watch through a campaign and a commercial movie.

Vincent has also been honored by awarded in some international photos competitions, including Ocean Geographic, National Geographic, Festisub, Adex China, Deep Indonesia, Our world underwater.

STEFANO PROAKIS

I was born in Rome in 1960. I am graphic designer and a photographer, with underwater specialization. As a matter of fact, having attended my first diving courses in 1976, I realized how much I liked photographing underwater scenes. A few years before, I had done a lot of classic photography, probably having inherited that passion from my father as well as his camera! Presently I am an instructor of FIPSAS-CMAS (Federazione Italiana Pesca Sportiva ed Attività Subacquee) and since 1992 instructor of underwater photography as well.
Attended many photography competitions at national and international level, with many awards. On top of that, having developed a special interest in nature, I also practice photography in natural environments and touristic trips. When I have the opportunity I like combining "water" and "nature". I cooperate with various agencies and photographic studios. Recently, I have included in my range of photographic services taking pictures of childrens in swimming pools. I have had various articles and pictures published in "Il Subacqueo", "Mondo Sommerso", "Almanacco di Fotografare", "Speciale Qui Touring", ecc.

STEFANO PROAKIS (Italy)

Sono nato a Roma nel 1960, dove vivo e svolgo l'attività di grafico e fotografo, specializzato in fotografia subacquea. Nel '76 con i primi corsi d'immersione, è nata la passione per la fotografia subacquea che, qualche anno prima, coltivavo già a livello terrestre avendo ereditato la passione e i mezzi paterni. Sono istruttore federale d'immersione della F.I.P.S.A.S. (Federazione Italiana Pesca Sportiva ed Attività Subacquee) e dal '92 anche di fotografia subacquea.

Awards: 
nel 1993 inizio a praticare l'agonismo in estemporanea della fotografia subacquea, qualificandomi subito per la finale dei Campionati Italiani di quell'anno. Faccio parte del Club Azzurro di fotografia subacquea del '99 ad oggi non consecutivamente.

Campione Provinciale e Regionale (di Roma e del Lazio) per diversi anni consecutivi;
Campione Italiano di fotografia subacquea a Squadre 1999;
Campione Italiano di fotografia subacquea a Squadre 2008;
Campione Italiano di fotografia subacquea Individuale Reflex 2008;
Campione Italiano di fotografia subacquea a Squadre 2010;
Campione Italiano di fotografia subacquea Individuale Reflex 2012;
Vice Campione del Mondo di Fotografia Subacquea 2013 ai Campionati Mondiali a CUBA con: Medaglia d'Oro nella categoria "Wide Angle with Diver"- medaglia d'Argento nella categoria "Close Up with Theme"- medaglia di Bronzo nella categoria "Wide Angle" a Cayo-Largo CUBA 2013.

Ho partecipato a numerosi concorsi fotografici nazionali ed internazionali, consegueno importanti vittorie e riconoscimenti. Amo questo sport perchè lo trovo molto formativo per un fotografo subacqueo, soprattutto per quelli alle prime armi ma non solo, dove il confronto con altri fotografi rende dinamica e veloce la crescita e l'esperienza; fondamentali in questa attività non solo sportiva. Mi dedico alla fotografia a trecentosessantagradi, in acqua e non. Collaboro con alcuni studi fotografici ed agenzie. Recentemente mi occupo di fotografie in piscina ai bambini, ovviamente sott'acqua. Ho pubblicato alcuni articoli ed immagini su: Il Suacqueo, Mondo Sommerso, Almanacco di Fotografare, Speciale "Qui Touring" del Touring Club Italiano.
