Mélanie Chamorel studied photography, part time working and part time at school, in Vevey, Switzerland for three years. She gained experience in both traditional and digital photography with a big interest in black-and-white.
Beginning of 2008 she left Switzerland for a 3 month fashion photography trainee job in Vietnam. During a solo trip around Vietnam and Cambodia she realized that she was passionate about reportage photography.
Returning home she had the privilege to expose her work at "Le Jardin de la Photographie", together with different famous photographers. This exhibition gave her inspiration to travel the world to create more reports and explore many different populations.
After a couple of exhibitons in Switzerland, Mél is now situated in Oslo, Norway, still traveling and working with reportage- and underwaterphotography.
