ALEX BARTH
My name is Alexander, and I am from Germany.
I started diving - by chance - at the beginning of 2006 in Egypt.
At the end of 2006, I bought my very first underwater camera (Fuji compact camera with underwater body, but without any flash or lamp).
Therefore, the first pictures I took were all blue!
In 2009, I switched to a Panasonic Lumix TZ5, with Sea&Sea flash.
With this camera, I was able to take much better pictures.
In 2010 I switched once more, and I bought a Canon G10 (I still use this camera to this day).
The Canon G10 is within an Ikelite body, with a holding rack (which I built myself) and inflated flash arms.
Meanwhile I use two flashes: 1 x Inon D-2000 and 1 x Inon Z-240.
I always use a SubSee +10 lens, as well.
With this combination, I almost exclusively take macro photographs.
Above the water, I have been using SLR cameras recently, but for underwater photography I think that's pretty pricey and, since I am only a "holiday diver", too heavy, as well.
So far I have been diving in the following countries:
Egypt, Maledives, Philippines (Negros, Apo Island, Bohol, Cabilao) , Sulawesi (Lembeh, Bunaken, Bangka, Palu) , Bali (Tulamben)
