Fabio Freitas lives in Niteroi city, Rio de Janeiro, working as a dentist.
Suffered an accident that let him with physical limitation and joined scuba diving in 2006 as a means to aid in his recovery.Soon developed a passion for underwater photography.
By showing the interaction of marine animals and the beauty of the sea life through his photos, he intends to raise awareness to preservation and conservation of the oceans.
In 2009 he started competing in the Brazilian National Underwater Photography Championship, and nowadays he owns the third place in the Brazilian ranking.
