Birgitta Mück was born in 1984 and grew up in Orust, an island off the Swedish west coast. Ever since she was little she has been fascinated by the sea and the underwater world has become a natural part of her life. As well as an underwater photographer Birgitta works as a professional underwater filmmaker for Crystal
Water Film Production, producing under water films for the National Swedish and Norwegian television. With her photographs and footage Birgitta wants to show the beauty and the great variety of the life hiding under the surface. But her aim is also to notify and spread knowledge about the importance and the vulnerability of our oceans and its habitats. While working with the expeditions Birgitta spends most of her time on a 45 ft sailing yacht, on which the team is sailing getting film images and still pictures of the secret life of the oceans.
