UWP: TAMMY GIBBS

Tammy Gibbs is a Perth diver and photographer who loves sharing the amazing underwater world through photographs.  After learning to dive in 2004, it wasn’t until two years later, when she saw a story on diving the Cocos Keeling Islands on a TV travel show, that Tammy’s interest in diving really grew.  She’d booked a trip the next day, and diving and underwater photography have been her passions since.  She has travelled and dived along the West Australian coastline from the Ningaloo Reef to Esperance; the Great Barrier and Osprey Reefs off Queensland; in Bali, Alor and Raja Ampat in Indonesia; and Layang Layang in the South China Sea.  Tammy has won a variety awards for her photography including the ANZANG Nature Photography competition (Botanicals winner in 2011, Underwater finalist in 2012), several WA Underwater Photographic Society competitions, had four images in the Underwater Festival 2011 Top 100 and is a finalist in the inaugural Fremantle Portrait Prize 2012.  Tammy is also President of the Western Australian Underwater Photographic Society.
