He was born in Tripoli in 1969.
He moved to Italy in 1971, lived in Sicily where he earned a degree in Economics.
Became an instructor of diving in 1990, he devoted himself passionately to the sea, whereas this activity always and only as a wonderful diversion.
In 1998 and 1999 Italian champion Nikonos Underwater Photography category.
In 2000 he left the competition and is dedicated to photojournalism.
Every journey is marked and only appearance in this photo is accompanied and assisted by his wonderful wife and model Lucy.
Underwater photography is just one of the areas they take on, but devotes all the same childlike passion.
Fat runner but passionate, dedicated to running most of its physical demands. Ultra-marathons and marathons are each year to reach its goals.
Travel, sports and reading are the cornerstones of his philosophy of life, which can be summed up in 3 sentences:
"... Life is too short to think of not doing what you can do, just because someone does not consider it appropriate to do ..."
"... The quality of life is measured in time that is dedicated to spending the money they earn ..."
"... We are simply the result of our experiences and without experiences ... we are nothing ..."
For some years he devoted himself again to the underwater photography competitions in the disciplines of Safari and Underwater Photography extemporaneous, but still ... without too much racing.
Roberto Faro
Nasce a tripoli nel 1969.
Trasferitosi in italia nel 1971, ha vissuto in Sicilia dove ha conseguito la Laurea in Economia.
Diventato istruttore di subacquea nel 1990, si è dedicato con passione al mare, considerando questa attività sempre ed unicamente come un meraviglioso diversivo.
Nel 1998 e nel 1999 è campione Italiano di Fotografia Subacquea categoria Nikonos.
Nel 2000 lascia le competizioni e si dedica alla fotografia di reportage.
Ogni suo viaggio è improntato esclusivamente all'aspetto fotografico ed in questo è accompagnato e coadiuvato dalla sua meravigliosa moglie e modella Lucia.
La fotografia subacquea è solo uno dei settori in cui si cimenta, ma in tutti dedica la stessa fanciullesca passione.
Podista grasso ma appassionato, dedica alla corsa gran parte dei suoi sforzi fisici. Maratone ed ultra-maratone sono ogni anno i suoi obbiettivi da raggiungere.
Viaggi, sport e lettura sono cardini della sua filosofia di vita, che si può riassumere in 3 frasi:
"…la vita è troppo breve per pensare di non fare quello che è possibile fare, solo perché qualcuno ritiene che non sia giusto farlo…"
"…la qualità della vita si misura nel tempo che si dedica a spendere i soldi che si guadagnano…"
"…noi siamo semplicemente il frutto delle nostre esperienze…e senza esperienze non siamo nulla…"
Da qualche anno si dedica nuovamente alle gare di fotografia subacquea nelle discipline di Safari Fotosub e Fotografia estemporanea, ...ma sempre senza troppo agonismo.
