Lia Barrett was born in Korea and grew up in the US. She attended Parsons School of Design in New York, graduating in 2007 with a degree in documentary photography. Disgruntled by the thought of life in a city, and deciding to follow her childhood dream, Lia moved to Honduras where she transfered her topside skills into underwater conditions. She has since been living and working around Southeast Asia, Honduras, and Australia. When she is not seeking macro critters or lush soft corals, she spends her time in Karl Stanley's submarine documenting deep sea life off of Roatan, Honduras.
