Born in Sabadell (Barcelona), he admits to be passionately fond of the fauna and of nature itself since his early childhood, perhaps due to the positive influence of his maternal grandfather, who was a qualified naturalist.
In the early seventies he started out in photography, preferring to capture images of nature. In 1978, his liking for natural habitats drove him to scuba dive, which he felt in love with and opened up a new, tempting horizon to develop his photographic work.
Although he never forgot his beloved Mediterranean sea, a place for which he feels a special predilection, his restlessness and his never-ending search for unique and exceptional creatures took him to many, faraway places.
“I feel very fortunate to have been able to visit truly special places both terrestrial and under water, coming across a large variety of species which very often were endangered and survivors of increasingly impoverished seas’’.
