Manfred Bortoli was born the 1st May 1965 in Bassano
del Grappa a small city of the north Italy.
He is a cameraman & photographer since the
1991 when he obtained the licence
of video-sub instructor.
The underwater-photographer loves portray
the natural submarine life through his
emotions and feelings looking for
the chromatic play of lights and
shades of the waters and its inhabitants.
During his travels he usually collects
a lot of documents and images
of the wonderful submarine world.
He made a big experience diving
in seas, rivers, caves, lakes, high mountain waters,
glaciers, in the nights and during the days.
In the 1994 starts his tropical travels
in Thailand, Red Sea, Cabo Verde.
He did more than 4500 dives that helped
him to realize a big archive of images
and videos of lake and seas
(Red Sea, Mediterranean Sea…).
He has also taken photos for underwater-Guides as:
”Sharm el Sheikh Diving Guide”, “Hurganda and Safaga”,
“Taba and Dahab”, ”Fishes of the Red Sea”, “Big Wrecks”
and “the Coral Garden “ all Geodia editions.
All the underwater shots of the whole edition of the games
were made in direct TV and in the Day Time.
As sub-marine operator he realize the
documentaries “Pianeta Sinai”, “Il Giardino di Allah”
and images for TV italian channels as TMC and RETE4
(La Macchina del Tempo),
Disney Channel and RAI SAT, RAI 2.
Actually he is working for Mediaset Group for the
TV program “Pianeta Mare” channel RETE 4,
he collaborate to realize more than 100 W
With a RAI 2 he works on
a fiction production "ABISSI" for 12.
