ENRICO PATI
Born in Lecce in 1970, lives and works in Bergamo since 1998.Always loved the sea and photography, combining these two great passions when, at the young age of 14 years, his parents give him an underwater camera, Canon, AS6, equipped with macro close-up lenses.Thus began taking his first underwater photographs with very satisfactory results, but always encouraged by his parents, he began to study by himself, buying books and manuals, first of all, "Photographing the blue" by Enrico Cappelletti.Since then his passion has continued, with ups and downs, mainly due to the scarcity of resources until 1999, when a friend gives him a Nikonos V with 15 mm, found underwater in the Red Sea. To fix it, in Milan - where he is penniless student to attend classes and graduate from the Faculty of Architecture at the Politecnico di Milano - turns to the legendary Louis Bicchiarelli Bicmar, with whom he comes into sympathy. The laboratory Bicchiarelli is a source of ideas and passion for the sea, which feeds its strong intention to move forward in the direction of underwater photography, it follows the patents diver first and second degree Anis and, following the suggestions of Bicchiarelli, equip it with 35 mm extension tubes and the second flash to engage with the Nikonos V, the macro picture.The results improve from day to day, and with a succession of years the equipment is evolving in 2001 through the first Nikon F60 and F80S then, both in diving suits Hugyfoot.Recently, he joined the diving school Dive Center Bergamo, where he obtained patents for underwater photography and underwater photography agonist. Nato a Lecce nel 1970, vive e lavora a Bergamo dal 1998.
Da sempre appassionato di mare e di fotografia, unisce queste due grandi passioni quando, alla giovane età di 14 anni, i suoi genitori gli regalano una macchina fotografica subacquea, Canon As6, equipaggiata con lenti macro clos-up.
Inizia così a scattare le sue prime fotografie subacquee con risultati non particolarmente soddisfacenti ma, spinto sempre dai suoi genitori, inizia a studiare da autodidatta, acquistando libri e manuali, primo fra tutti, "Fotografare nel blu" di Enrico Cappelletti.
Da allora la passione è proseguita, con alti e bassi, dovuti soprattutto alla scarsità di mezzi fino al 1999, quando un amico gli regala una Nikonos V con 15 mm, trovata sott'acqua in Mar Rosso. Per aggiustarla, a Milano - dove si trova, studente squattrinato, per frequentare i corsi e conseguire la laurea alla Facoltà di Architettura del Politecnico di Milano - si rivolge a Luigi Bicchiarelli della mitica Bicmar, con il quale entra in simpatia. Il laboratorio di Bicchiarelli è una fucina di idee e di passione per il mare, che alimenta la sua già forte intenzione di andare avanti nella direzione della fotografia subacquea, così consegue i brevetti di sommozzatore di primo e secondo grado Anis e, seguendo i suggerimenti di Bicchiarelli, si attrezza con 35 mm, tubi di prolunga e secondo flash per dedicarsi, con la Nikonos V, alla macro fotografia.
I risultati migliorano di giorno in giorno, e con il susseguirsi degli anni l'attrezzatura si evolve passando nel 2001 alle reflex Nikon F60 prima ed F80S poi, entrambe in scafandri Hugyfoot.
Ultimamente entra a far parte della scuola subacquea Centro Sub Bergamo, dove ottiene i brevetti di fotosub e fotosub agonista. Quando può non disdegna di partecipare a concorsi, nazionali e internazionali, a volte con discreti risultati.
Nel 2007 è ideatore, organizzatore e giurato del concorso foto e video subacqueo "Due Mari in Posa", tenutosi presso il Museo dell'Ambiente dell'Università del Salento, nel 2008 in giuria a Milano con Andrea Ghisotti, Paolo Bastoni e Angelo Mojettta nel concorso "12 mesi nel blu" un calendario per Alessandro Dodi.
Architettura e natura sono le sue due grandi passioni e con la fotosub a volte riesce a coniugarle entrambe. Da qualche anno passato al digitale, prima con la Nikon D200, poi con la D700, entrambe scafandrate Subal, assieme a sua moglie Simona e il piccolo Leo, gira il mare Mediterraneo in lungo e in largo, facendosi ogni volta sorprendere dalle sue incredibili meraviglie.
